A new best friend this Christmas | #MyAquaphor Challenge

Over the past couple of months I have been having a nightmare with my skin and its been driving me insane. As the chilly set in, my skin has started to feel dry, tight and lines started to appear. My husband says that they are smile lines…I’m not so sure! I was at a real loss of which product I should try next. So when I was asked to take part in the #MyAquaphor challenge sponsored by Eucerin I was thrilled. Eucerin Aquaphor is a soothing skin balm that gives dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin the SOS care it needs.

I don’t think I read the brief in detail because I was just expecting a hand/face cream to arrive in the post. When I opened it up and read the information on the box I was delighted to learn that it can actually be used on your hands, nails, body, face and lips. And guess what? You can even use it on your baby!

My first thought was wow! My second thought was that maybe it wouldn’t be able to give me an intense moisture boost because it could be used on such sensitive areas like my lips and my little cherubs bottoms!

I need not have worried. I have been testing this little tube of magic for a couple of weeks now and it’s amazing. I have been using it on my hands, face and my lips. Both my lips and hands get so cracked at this time of year (lovely image for you all) but since using the balm they feel moisturised and hydrated. It’s a big improvement from on couple of weeks ago and here’s why:

Aquaphor is formulated with only seven ingredients. It is gentle enough to be used on highly irritated skin as well as on sensitive baby skin and also in the nappy area. Any mum with a baby in nappies will understand the delight of finding a new nappy balm, hurrah! The skin balm protects the skin by creating a breathable, protective barrier, allowing the oxygen and water vapour to circulate to and from the skin, allowing the skin to breath.

As I am typing this blog I have some on my lips and it feels so luxurious. If like me you like to watch the pennies then you will also be pleased to learn that it lasts. You only need to use a very small amount to get an intense moisture boost. It definitely gets the seal of approval from me and it will be a keeper in our household.

Anyone who has been following me for a while will know I am a little bit fussy about the products that I promote on this blog. My review posts are few and far between and this is because I only pick products that I think would be of interest to both my readers and my family. So I hope you guys love this one as much as I do. I am super happy that I took the #MyAquaphor challenge and I think my skin is too!

Let me know if you use this product too. I would love to know your thoughts on it.
